Dear Woodland Owner,
Image of northeast Wisconsin woodland.

You are invited to attend the 2006 Fox River Valley Area Woodland Owners Conference. Northern hardwoods is this year’s theme, so management options and wildlife considerations will be covered. The conference will also cover a variety of topics. The Cottonville fire, which occurred in Adams County, will be reviewed and used to demonstrate how to protect fire-prone properties. Dealing with fire from a landowner’s perspective will also be covered. Methamphetamine (meth) labs are popping up across Wisconsin so we’ll hear about this issue from an agent with the Department of Justice.

Wrapping up this year’s conference is a discussion on surveying. From the early
history of our state to today’s high tech methods, you’ll learn how surveyor’s do
their work and how to deal with issues that come up as our land divides into
smaller and smaller parcels.

Anyone with an interest in woodland resources is invited to attend this conference.
Please join us and bring a friend.
