About Water



Water (or Lake) classification is a way for communities to design lake management strategies that seek to accommodate shoreland development and recreational use while protecting lake ecosystems.

Counties in the Upper Green Bay Basin that have recently completed or are currently working on water classification projects are Marinette, Oconto, and Shawano.
