Shoreline Restoration Demonstration Sites
The Lake Noquebay Shoreline Restoration Demonstration Site is currently the only demonstration site in the Upper Green Bay Basin. As you can see below, this was a very successful restoration site that not only allows you to learn about different plant species and restoration options, but also highlights the fact that restoring a shoreline buffer doesn't compromise lake access or views.
The site is located at Lake Noquebay County Park (Marinette County) and is open to the public (park entrance fee = $2). Coming north on Highway 141 from Green Bay, turn east onto County Road W.; continue east to County Road GG; Turn left onto GG and follow road past Birchwood Rd. and Pioneer Rd. to the park (see map at bottom of page). |
