Big Top Chautauqua Update
For a single 2 hour preformance it will cost $6,500, for an additional show it is $1,000. If they do two shows, afternoon and evening the Park Service will help and foot the $6,500. We will have to come up with $1,000. John has put in a call to Telemark to see if they would like to sponsor the evening show. This would include tickets, advertising, (14) meals for the crew, etc. They would be allowed to charge a fee to recoup their costs. There was a request that they keep the charge at $15-$20 (the price of a house show at the Big Top) so our numbers at the conference is not undercut. This is the weekend of Muskie Fest and has the potential to be a good deal for Telemark. John will also look into Telemark giving us a break on our costs for offering this to them. (If you are not familiar with Big Top Chautauqua click here for their link )

John has volunteered to be the go between for Telemark, Park Service and Big Top. If any one would like to be involved let John know.

Streams and Sessions
We agreed to 4 streams (plus one for youth) each with 3 sessions and 1 keynote speaker. There was a lot of discussion on timing of the sessions, lunch and the Big Top show. Mary Jo, Roger D., and John will come up with possible senarios for the next meeting.

There are quite a few lunch options for us to choose from: sit down in the Red Arrow with over flow in the restaurant upstairs (there may be issues for the staff to have enough time to set up for the show); we could pick up box lunches in a variety of locations and eat in the rooms or outside. We could then cut down on the time for lunch. Roger D. will have options for us next meeting.
