The Rock River Partnership Merged with the Rock River Coalition in  2001.  This website remains to archive information from the  three years that the Partnership worked on nutrient trading studies.

The Rock River Watershed Partnership is a stakeholder group committed to addressing nutrient and other water quality management issues within the Rock River Watershed in an integrated, holistic manner using the tools of watershed-based planning/decision making.

Point source dischargers working with DNR, DATCP, Land Conservation Departments and others will look for the most cost-effective process to protect and improve water quality through watershed-based trading. (Which is also know as pollutant trading.) Watershed-based  trading should result in more non-point source controls such as manure pits, contour strips, buffer strips, wetland restorations  and conservation tillage.
