Forest and Woodland Cost-Share Opportunities in Iowa
Greg Heidebrink, District Forester, Iowa DNR, Charles City, IA

This presentation will cover tree planting and forest management cost share opportunities offered in Iowa. Eligibility requirements, cost share rates and limitations will be covered for each program.

Greg Heidebrink has been a forester with the Iowa Department of Natural Resources for 8 years. He has worked in both the Elkader and Charles City districts. Before coming to the DNR, he ran a private forestry consulting business in western Iowa. Greg graduated from Iowa State University in 1993 with a B.S. degree in Forestry. He spends most of his time assisting private landowners in developing a management plan for their property. During the summer he works on tree plantings, and in the fall and winter he walks timber and marks timber sales.
