Mark Gleason, Extension Plant Pathologist, Dept. of Plant Pathology, Iowa State University, Ames, IA

Mark Gleason is an Extension Plant Pathologist at Iowa State University. His research interests include ecology and the epidemiology of diseases of fruit and vegetable crops, with emphasis on developing and evaluating cost-efficient, environmentally friendly management methods. Mark teaches graduate courses in integrated pest management, plant pathology, and sustainable agriculture. Since 2005 he has worked on an education program for Amish and Mennonite growers of high-value crops, and has collaborated with growers and agricultural professionals in Costa Rica.
