Illinois Forestry Development Act
Wade Conn, Forest Stewardship Program Manager, Illinois DNR, Springfield, IL
This presentation will give an overview of the Illinois Forest Development Act Program established in 1983. The program is a successful tool for providing incentives for sound forest management to private forest landowners in the state of Illinois. Program requirements and incentive opportunities will be discussed.
Wade Conn has served as Illinois Forest Stewardship Program Manager for
the Illinois Department of Natural Resources since September 2006. Prior to joining the IL DNR, Wade was employed as a Resource Forester with the Missouri Department of Conservation from 1999 to 2006, mostly located out of Hannibal, Missouri . Wade, an Illinois native, earned his Forest Technology Degree from Southeastern Illinois College in Harrisburg, and his B.S. degree in Forestry from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Wade resides in LeRoy, Illinois, with his wife and 2 sons.
