Management Considerations for Quail John Cole has been with the Division of Wildlife Resources, Illinois Department of Natural Resources, since 1973. He started out as District Wildlife Biologist, and has been the Agriculture and Grassland Wildlife Program Manager since 1993. John develops programs for the conservation of species associated with agricultural and grassland ecosystems, with emphasis on northern bobwhite, ring-necked pheasant, gray partridge, eastern mourning dove, eastern cottontail, and swamp rabbit. He also plans programs for habitat restoration, public education, annual population monitoring, and recreational use of wildlife resources.
