John Walkowiak
John Walkowiak possesses a B.S. in Forest Resources Management from SUNY College of Environmental Science and Forestry and an M.S. in Forest Resources from the University of New Hampshire . His work experience includes seasonal work with the USDA Forest Service, forester/timber buyer/logging supervision in southern New England , District Extension Forester for the Nebraska Forest Service, and service/state lands forester for the Montana Department of State Lands. John joined the Iowa Department of Natural Resources in 1989 as a forestry projects/urban forester and for the past 6 years has served as Bureau Chief for the Iowa DNR's Forestry Bureau. He is a certified forester and certified arborist, and is the chair of the Iowa Society of American Foresters.
