Non-Timber Forest Products: Opportunities and Challenges
GIGI LA BUDDE
Gigi La Budde serves as education coordinator and ecologist for the Community Forestry Resource Center , a non-profit organization that promotes responsible forest management by encouraging the long-term health and prosperity of privately owned woodlands, their owners, and their communities. Gigi works with forest landowner groups, resource managers, loggers, and farmers in the Upper Midwest . She is also the owner of Bison Belly Futures, an ecological consulting business serving the Driftless Area of southwest Wisconsin , where she strives to act on the belief that all who hold title to the land have both the privilege and the responsibility to restore the land to long-term health and biodiversity. Gigi has been an organic Goldenseal grower for fifteen years.
