Ruth Oppedahl Ruth has been working as the UW-Extension Basin Educator in the Lake Superior Basin since October 2008. Her efforts include developing partnerships to carry out educational programs on stormwater, shoreland restoration and effective watershed-based forestry management. Ruth provides programs and materials for private landowners, towns and cities about natural resource issues in the Lake Superior region. She previously served as executive director for the Dane County Natural Heritage Foundation, and the Bayfield Regional Conservancy. Ruth holds a B.A. in biology from Carleton College and a M.S. in Natural Resources—Environmental Education from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
